FULL TILT COLLECTIVE
Brass heavy party-starters from London, playing an eclectic range of genres including funk, soul, rock, reggae, ska, hip hop and drum and bass.
Influenced by the likes of Hot 8 Brass Band, Funkadelic, Toots and the Maytals and Sly and the Family Stone, founder Nathan Thomas was inspired to start the band following a road trip from New Orleans to Nashville. Full Tilt have graced the stage at venues all over London including Rich Mix, The Blues Kitchen, Hootananny Brixton, Paper Dress Vintage, and Archspace as well as festivals like Isle of Wight, Small World, and Sunrise. To date the band have released three EPs of original material, and a studio video for their single ‘Never’, following live videos of ‘Keep the Candle Burning’ and ‘Imagine’.
Playing live is what Full Tilt are truly passionate about, and with an ever-growing roster of members, each gig’s lineup can feature anything from seven to twelve musicians, combining trumpets, trombones, saxes, sousaphone, percussion, vocalists and guitar. Much of the band has a background in jazz music (with members of the Collective including graduates of Guildhall and Trinity College of Music), resulting in bombastic solos to complement their heady riffs and raucous live show.
