MAMA JERK & THE LADYFINGERS

Mama Jerk’s trademark style is defined by his need to process the world through vivid imagery and fantastical stories. Sometimes funny, sometimes dark, the worlds and characters he invents are always compelling.

Joined by his joyful band of Ladyfingers, these stories take life on the stage. Their energetic and chaotic shows have been a mainstay of the festival and party scene for years.

The band consist of a funky horn section, wailing guitars and a Bristolian hip-hop rhythm section. In total seven musicians flit between a variety of genres in order to get your feet dancing and your minds fizzing.

Behind the scenes, Mama Jerk & The Ladyfingers collaborate with all kinds of artists to flesh out the characters, worlds and stories which inhabit the music. From futuristic societies fuelled by human sacrifice to fictional corrupt European states to charmingly illustrated storybooks about gimps. There's always some new world taking life from the depths of their messy notebook.
